Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a popular American performer and actress. The parents of Kristen Bell were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. Bell was raised and from Huntington Woods Michigan. The mother of Kristen is Polish and her father is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen discovered her talents in entertainment from a young age. In 1992, she was awarded her first role at her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mom enrolled her with an agency just before her 13th birthday. She was then featured in TV commercials as well as newspaper ads. In addition to having private lessons in acting, she launched her career at that time. Bell made an appearance on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the role of the lead Dorothy character. Bell studied musical theatre at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell left the university in 2001 to take on the character of Becky of Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang However, the sequence in which she played the role was removed. In the end, the credit sequence is all that exists. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell made an appearance on the Broadway revival of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
